₹ 1L to be paid to Kin Bereaved

MySuru: Kin Bereaved from those who surrendered to Covid-19 in MySuru District and Chamarajanagar will receive Rs 1 lakh in compensation, said St Somashekar, who is the minister responsible for the district.
Somashekar, who participated in an event at JH Patel Auditorium on Sunday, distributed checks for RS 1 Lakh to members of 50 families.
Overall, 566 people died of Covid in the Chamarajanagar district, the Minister said.
Somashekar said that the steps would be taken to educate children from the family of Covid victims.
