MySuru: Bank Mill Private Mill Private Mill Private Limited Party (BNPMIPL) on Friday contributed Rs 99.2 lakh under CSR funds to the zoo for the construction of additional attachments located at the facility.
The MySuru Zoo recently acquired two pairs of orangutans – a 17-year-old merry merry and a 13-year-old woman from the Singapore Zoo and a five-year-old AFA and a seven-year-old Minnie of Zoo Malaysia, under Animal Exchange Program.
Found inadequate to manage orangutan breeding activities and accommodate new breeds, it was decided to build an additional cover for large apes.
The BNPMIPL authority has signed an agreement with the zoo to provide funds for coverup construction.
Construction work will be taken soon, he said.
