Thiruvananthapuram: A total of 1,25,070 ration card holders in various categories have volunteered to submit their cards to the government until July 31, after the government urges them to give up if they do not fall in various categories that meet the requirements.
To eliminate the remaining cardholders who do not meet the requirements, the Civil Earies Department has launched the WhatsApp number where the community can inform the information about the cardholders who do not meet the requirements.
Until July, from 5.85,977 Anna Anna Yojana (Aay) distributed cards distributed in the country, 9,935 cards have been submitted and brought based on non-subsidized non-subsidized (NPNS) categories, which are offered rice and wheat regularly, not level -died.
Likewise, of a total of 32,62,522 priority household cards (PHH), 65,328 cards have been submitted and from the category of non-priority subsidies (NPS), where 25,01,646 cards have been distributed, 49,807 have given up.
These cards were submitted from 38,58,322 card holders in the state (3.24%).
Database purification, especially from Aay and PHH is the core activity of the department to get rid of that does not meet the requirements of the system, said the source of the civilian stock department.
Based on the Civil Equipment Instruction Minister G R Anil, a meeting chaired by the Sajith Babu session Commissioner on Monday set a November 1 target to ensure that 100% of cardholders who met the requirements of receiving their ration’s share.
It has been found that last month, 97% of card holders have received rations.
Depiably that card holders who have not received their eligible rations for three months June, July and August will be categorized as those who do not need rations.
The allotment inspector will assess the cardholder like that and if it finds that they do not meet the requirements, they will be removed from the priority list.
In addition, the department has also decided to launch the WhatsApp number (9495998223) where people can inform the citizens who do not meet the requirements that hold priority ration cards.
Has been instructed to take action in such cases within 24 hours, and report compliance.
WhatsApp facility for complaint registration will function until October 15.
The state has implemented the National Food Securities Act, 2013, on November 1, 2016.
In accordance with this action, the state has 4,228 stores of reasonable prices (official ration dealers) with 90.86,816 card holders.
The number of beneficiaries below the system is 3,57,42,768 (according to estimates, each card has 4.2 beneficiaries in the state).
As many as 5,95,800 cards under Aay are permitted in the state, where the state has distributed 5,85,977 cards.
9,823 The remaining cards can be distributed to 41,256 beneficiaries.
Also, according to NFSA, the number of cards that can be distributed in the household priority category is 1,54,80,040.
