1.3 lakh workers will be registered in the new scheme

Greater Noida: District administration on Saturday initiated a new scheme intended for old age protection and social security of unorganized sector workers.
A total of 1,33,500 workers will be registered in the coming days below the scheme, officials said.
Those who are interested must visit the Labor Department website and provide details.
Barber, tailor, gardener, gas stove repair, cycle shop operator, pedicab puller, loader, mason, electrician, plumber, carpenters and individuals who do not have permanent jobs can all register to take advantage of benefits, according to officials.
“Applicants must provide their details along with their Aadhaar numbers and cellphone numbers.
The nominal cost must also be paid to complete the registration formality,” he said.
