Two public health centers in Bhangel and Jewar have been converted into 50 bed facilities.
About 500 beds are available at government facilities for covid patients.
Meanwhile, a private hospital claimed that booking a large number of beds added to their losses, apart from wasting resources.
While all private hospitals have now been renovified as Covid Hospital, the government has decided to store 65% of beds at Sharada Hospital as a Covid facility.
However, hospital administration said that maintaining 720 bed facilities was waste of resources and must be allowed to be used for non-covid patients.
“The hospital accepts a reference case from the surrounding district too and we have to store the beds provided for such cases,” said Ajit Kumar, Sharada Hospital spokesman.
However, district officials said that the administration was once bitten, the principle was twice shy.
District Judge Suhas Ly said: “The second wave graph is a steep curve.
The case rises exponentially in just four-five days and we are blind with a number of beds that are suddenly needed.
Because we expect the third wave, just logically to be careful And still ready.
