New Delhi: About 2.4 lakh students who have studied in various private schools have submitted a request to enter Delhi government schools, from Nursery to 12th grade, for the academic session of 2021-22, reporting Shradha Chettri.
Of all this, the receipt of more than 1.58 lakh students has finished.
The principal from government schools said that most of these revenues have been for grade 9 and 11, and they link an increase in economic losses faced by parents because of Covid-19.
According to data released by the Directorate of Education (DOE), 2.36,522 applications were accepted for nursery classes to class 12 at around 1,030 government schools.
So far, 1,58,484 students have been accepted and the process continues.
This data is for what is called non-plan acceptance – for students who have studied in private schools.
However, the data about non-plan acceptance last year was not provided.
Tweeting about this, Chairman of the Minister Arvind KeRriwal said, “This happened for the first time in India.” There are two cycles of this year’s entry season for non-package reception.
The Delhi government allows students from private schools to receive entrance tickets at their school even without a transfer certificate.
It is said that the department itself will get TCS from each school.
Aruna Anand, Middle School Principal of the Government Girl, Ambedkar Nagar, said: “This year more students from public schools in Delhi and even outside, such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, have come to enter.
Some cannot pay fees in public schools and Some shift.
These are mostly students from smaller public schools.
“In this special school, the maximum reception has been for class XI.
The government co-ed Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Sector 8, Rohini, has a similar story.
The maximum number of reception has also occurred in class 11.
“Last year, we have around 150 non-package reception but this year around 400, from class I to XII.
One reason is that many parents lose their jobs because of the lock.
Reputation Our school is good with constant results that we have achieved and many who are also quite impressed with our new school building, “said a jha, principal.
However, in Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya No.
2, West Punjabi Bagh, class 9 seems to have become a popular choice for non-plan applicants.
The principal, Madhu Gupta, said there was no increase in reception for class VIII and XI.
With this increase, according to DOE, the total number of students registered in Delhi who had touched 17.67 lakh.
In 2020-21, that number was 16.28 lakh, while in 2019-20, around 15.05 lakh.
