THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Just One fisherman expired and two are still missing five little fishing boats off Vizhinjam shore in Kerala on Tuesday night. Indian coast guard aircraft and boat are carrying out search and rescue operations in the region. In accordance with coastal authorities, there have been a total of 17 individuals on five ships, where two remain lacking. “Six people were rescued. One of these, one is injured and admitted to the hospital. We also regained one corpse, others drifted into shore and so are secure, except for 2 fishermen that are still lacking,” said the authorities. The coast guard in an announcement stated that the five little fishing boats went lost at 9.45 pm Tuesday night”because of heavy rain and swell”. “Three sorties are performed by Indian coast guard boat C-441 at night prior to inclement weather. Nowadays ICG aircraft dornier along with ICG boats Abhinav, C-441 and C-427 are collectively operating for its search and rescue,” the announcement said. “Rescue operations are in progress and the problem is being tracked,” it added.
