Kolkata: Someone was killed and six people were injured after a quick car hit them in the Chingrighata East Kolkata area on Saturday afternoon, police said.
The incident occurred at around 5:40 a.m.
at Chingrighata Crossing and the driver was arrested, they said.
The car crashed into seven people standing on the roadside after the driver lost control of the vehicle, police said.
“We tried to find out whether there was a vehicle brake failure,” said a police officer.
