Ranchi: Khunti police detained one man for supposedly threatening sahiyas and sevikas having an axe if they were taking a door-to-door poll for Covid-19 ailments.
The accused was recognized as one Rafael Kandulna of all Unkuna village of Khunti district.
The incident occurred when a bunch of sahiyas and sevikas, that had been participated in a Covid mapping and consciousness drive, proceeded into in Unkuda village beneath Torpa police station on Tuesday.
Throughout their trip, Kandulan came from his home having an axe stating that his mom died because of this Covid vaccine and began pursuing a sahiya.
After the sevikas attempted to intervene, then he even threatened to kill them too and assaulted them.
An aganwadi sevika has been hurt from the incident.
Authorities have registered an FIR under sections 186, 188, 269, 270, 271 341, 323, 332, and 353 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act from Kandulna.
It can be said here that before a man had misbehaved with the survey group from the area.
Khunti SP Ashutosh Shekhar stated,”Authorities are cautious to stop attacks on survey crews.
We’re also carrying out an awareness push Covid-19 pandemic and related measures with the support of gram sabhas.”
