Ahmedabad: After a day below 15,000 cases, Gujarat on Tuesday again recorded 16,608 cases of Daily Covid.
Three of the four big cities Gujarat recorded a trend in the case in case.
The state recorded the death of 28 active patients, the highest in the past eight months.
With renewal, Gujarat recorded the death of 200 patients active in a count of 36 days – 100 last creatures in the last five days.
Meanwhile, experts showed cases could be higher as estimates by Gujarat Kimiawan and drug associations (FGSCDA) put sales of fast antigen kits that examined themselves (mice) for one lakh per day.
While licensed distributors are empowered to sell this kit, test results are not documented.
In the prevalence of such scenarios, the ‘non-documented test’ is equivalent to daily testing of around 1-1.3 lakh according to state government figures.
At the conservative test level of conservative (TPR) 10%, the state may have around 10,000 cases of covid that is not documented every day, experts say.
“Gujarat is home to at least 25,000 chemists and medical stores.
Each of these stores sell a minimum average of four to five own testing kits every day.
For the past month or so this number easily rises one and half times,” Alpesh Patel said, Chairman, FGSCDA.
‘Patients must strengthen the results with RT-PCR testing associating a sales surge for more awareness and comfort.
“Mandiri Testing Kit Comfortable to use at home.
With increasing awareness about the availability of this kit, more people buy to use it.
In each of our 80+ stores, around five to eight kits are sold every day.
Sales have increased lately with More cases and increasing the time of completion for RPCR test reports, “said Ankur Aggarwal, founder, Medkart.
Food and Drug Control Administration (FDCA) – Gujarat only provides this kit sales to certain licensed distributors.
“Only licensed distributors are empowered to sell independent testing kits.
It is not classified based on H schedules so it is easily available as a counter product.
However, people must understand that this kit is only 70% effective and therefore can cause false negative or even false positives.
Having symptoms must be carried out by the RPCR test only from the designated lab, “said HG Koshia, Commissioner, FDCA – Gujarat.
Some doctors also suggest to strengthen the results of the Mandiri mouse testing kit with a RPCR test.
“Because the self testing kit is basically a fast antigen test, it can cause unnecessary panic or even lead to unnecessary trust with a false negative test.
Patients must strengthen this test with a RPCR test and go with doctor’s advice,” said Dr.
Bharat Gadhvi.
, President, Ahmedabad Hospital and Care House Association (Ahna).
“By reducing the severity of the omicron variant of Covid-19, an important aspect is to monitor the level of hospitalization and acceptance of the ICU patients who test positive,” Gadhvi added.
