Corona: The police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting that killed a 18-year-old woman and seriously injured a 19-year-old social media influencer when they watched “The Forever Purge” in a South California film theater.
The authorities say there is no known motive for violence and that Monday the shooting seems to be “a loadless attack.” Teenagers were found by theater workers who cleaned up after 9:35, showing a violent horror film at the Crossings Mall in Corona, Southeast Los Angeles.
Rylee Goodrich was shot fatally, and Anthony Barajas remained on the support of life Wednesday.
Barajas, who is known online as ItanthonyMichael, has almost one million followers in Tiktok and many more on other platforms.
The suspect, Joseph Jimenez was 20 years old, booked Tuesday night because of suspicion of murder, attempted murder and robbery.
He was detained with a guarantee of $ 2 million.
A firearm that matches the caliber of the weapon used in the shooting was found in his house.
Not clear immediately did he have a lawyer who could speak in his name.
The investigator said there was a small audience to show the film.
“I was told now there are six tickets purchased for the film,” Tobias Kouroubacalis officer told Kabc-TV.
“We ask anyone who might be in the film, or the theater adjacent to it, for any information,” Kouroubacalis said.
