10.5% quota: 500 mbbs chairs for vannys likely in TN

Chennai: TN is likely to apply an internal quota of 10.5% to Vanniyars for acceptance for medical, engineering, and law this year after SC refused to remain legal on Friday.
Of the 20% MBBS seats allocated for MBC in the current seat matrix, almost 500 seats can be provided for vanniary community students who have cleaned NEET.
If TN starts in all 11 new medical colleges, Vannyar students may get at least 125 seats.
