Pune: Police Pimpri Chinchwad on July 17 ordered 10 people on charges of social boycott a 26-year-old man from their community.
The complainant, from Kolhapur Regency, has submitted a case with Bhosari MIDC police.
The suspects, including members ‘Jaat Pancayat,’ have been ordered under the social boycott (prevention, prohibition and recovery).
An officer said the complainant was married to a woman from Moshi in 2019.
His wife returned to Moshi following the domestic sign.
“In February this year, the in-laws of the complainants called him to Moshi to resolve this problem through discussion.” “According to complaints, his in-laws took this matter to ‘Jaat Panthay’,” he said.
The complainant stated that members told him to pay a number to start the discussion.
When he did not pay, his father-in-law did it, getting their favorable verdict.
When a complaintion refused to pay a fine RS15 Lakh, he was booted socially, he said.
