Mumbai: Covid-19 Cases and deaths reached an 18-month low in Maharashtra on Monday as 809 cases and 10 deaths reported.
The state reported 809 new cases, the lowest addition in a 24-hour period since May 3 last year (when 678 cases were added).
Fifteen districts and nine city companies did not register any new cases.
Death fell to 10 on Sundays, the lowest since April 20 last year (when nine deaths were reported), with 30 districts not recorded fatality in a day.
Cumulative count the country from the case reached 66.11,887.
Of the 809 cases reported on Monday, 428 came from the Mumbai metropolitan area, 132 from the circle of Nashik and 187 of Pune Circle.
10 deaths were reported from Mumbai (4), two of Beed and Satara, and each of Ahmednagar and Sindhudurg.
The Covid Maharashtra toll road reaches 1,40,226, while the amount of Mumbai is now at 16,251.
Mumbai also saw the lowest detection in almost 70 days.
On Monday, the city added 258 cases, the lowest after August 23 (225), took the cumulative calculation to 7.57.007.
Hanging careful words, Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray said that no one could predict the third wave.
“At present, the Delta variant is found mutated but if the deadly variant comes from other countries, it will be a problem,” he said.
At a slowdown in vaccination, he said that people were not advancing to vaccinate.
Dr.
Shashank Joshi, a member of the Covid Negara Task Force, said the numbers that came clearly that the second wave ended in Maharashtra.
“However, it should not slow down the rate of vaccination or testing,” he said.
