Nagpur: At least 10 incidents of fire were reported in Nagpur in Diwali, and there were no casualties in one of them, said a citizenship official on Friday.
According to Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), a large fire erupted in a three-story commercial building in the Barakholi area in Jaripatka on Thursday night.
Blaze erupted in a firecracker shop on the ground floor structure at around 11:20 a.m., the official said.
Cracker Shop was closed at the time of the incident, and the building also accommodated a grocery store, he said.
At least seven water tenders were used in fire extinguishing operations and fire caused by control within three hours, the official said.
Nine remaining fire reported from various parts of the city and underage, stated.
