Nagpur: Fire Personnel from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) The Department of Fire and Emergency has a busy night because the city reported 10 fire incidents, including a large fire at the Lightning Shop and nine minor incidents.
The main fire occurred at a temporary firecracker shop at the A-1 sales center, a multi-storey building + 2, which is located in the Barakholi area in Jaripatka.
Firecrackers and Worth Lakhs Confectionery were destroyed at the API.
There were no victims reported, said Chief Fire Officer Rajendra Uche and added that the cause of the fire was not confirmed.
Kailesh Kishanlal Chelani, the owner of A-1 sales, has obtained an objection certificate (NOC) to sell firecrackers in one of two stores located on the ground floor of the A-1 sales center.
Eyewitnesses told Tii Chelani closing his shop earlier at 10:15 a.m.
on Thursday.
Around 11:20 a.m., the neighbor heard firecrackers from a closed shop.
“Before someone who can understand anything, the loud sound of exploding crackers increases and immediately swallows the entire ground floor,” they said.
Due told, eight fire tenders from civilians, Sugat Nagar, Ganjipeth and Lakadganj rushed to the place.
Feeling the gravity of the incident, senior firefighting personnel including the Head of the Uchake Fire Extinguisher also reached the place.
Uchake said the shop was closed when the fire began.
“The remaining parts of the building consist of a grocery store, which has stock snack items such as wafers, biscuits etc.
The building only has one hole on the ground floor and packed from four sides,” he said.
The fire department then gets an entry by breaking the wall from a side by side.
A total of eight fire tenders and one ladder turntable used, and the fire was brought down after three hours.
There were no injuries or victims reported, said CFO.
Kailesh Kishanlal Chelani’s shop owner felt unwell after the incident and was hospitalized.
“The fire department has not confirmed the loss of property damaged in a fire,” said a fire official.
The fire control room began receiving a call related to fire after 8pm.
The first incident was reported at the residence of one Sudhakar Patil in Buddh Nagar.
Here, the fire starts around 8:20 a.m.
because of a leak in the LPG Cylinder regulator.
It was watered in a few minutes and no loss of property or life was reported.
It was followed by a call from Jaal’s compound around 9pm where firecrackers triggered fire on a garbage stack.
Around 9:15 a.m., a similar fire call was reported from Lendra Park in Ramdaspeth, and at 9:20 p.m.
from a shop owned by One Manik Wankhede near Diphori Flyover.
Around 9:35 a.m., the fire was reported in a stack of garbage at KT Nagar near Axis Bank.
A similar call was attended by firefighting personnel including the terrace in New Colony, Chhaoni (9.48 nights), close to the MSRTC bus standing at Ganeshpeth (11:35 PM), Scrap Dealer Shop (1.56 Morning) in Jaitala, and fire on the plot Open Wardha Road (4:25 a.m.).
All night’s fire personnel attended 10 fire calls.
Most of the fire incidents occurred due to firecrackers, Uche said.
In addition, they also saved a dog that fell into a well and a bird was entangled in an electric wire in the city, Uche said.
