10% of workers to carry under e-shram every month

Hyderabad: The state government has begun the process of approaching more than one unorganized worker in Telangana under the Ambit E-Shram platform to facilitate them to access the benefits of social security from the state and central government.
About 45 disorganished workers have been registered and given e-Shram cards by the State Labor Department under the launched central scheme recently.
The worker can use e-Shram cards to utilize benefits such as funding funds, benefits of work injury, housing, education schemes for children, improving skills and even funeral assistance.
This e-Shram card can be used throughout the country.
“We have opened the ‘WFC Facilitation Center’ (WFC) at construction sites, industrial areas and other commercial units to ensure everyone is registered.
We plan to register 10% of the workforce every month,” Informed E Gangadhar, Secretary and CEO of the Guarantee Board Social State of Telangana for non-organized workers (TSSBUW).
Gangadhar said that TSSBUW was founded according to the direction and registration of the central government was being carried out over the past few months.
Of the 1.07 crore of the unmountered workforce in the state, agriculture contributed 60 lakh, while the other 18 lakh was under construction.
Other sectors such as the manufacture of beedi, handloom, fishing, contract workers, transportation and Toddy also saw a large number of workers.
According to the Union of the Ministry of Manpower and Employment, every worker who is a home-based worker, entrepreneurial workers or wage workers in an unmaved sector – including a worker in an organized sector that is not an ESIC member or EPFO ​​or not a government employee – is classified as a worker Not organized.
