Patna: Head of Bihar Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that at all 10 people from the country were killed in continuous rain recently in Uttarakhand.
He said, all 10 people came from the West Chamaran district.
Talk to reporters, said Nitish, “We received information about the death of three people from Bihar, three days ago.
Then we got information about the death of seven more people from the country.” He also said that the body of three had reached their original place in the district Champaran West, while the remaining seven bodies will arrive on Saturday.
He said the senior government officer Bihar and Delhi-based commissioners who were regularly related to their colleagues in Uttarakhand and they made all the coordination needed with the Uttarakhand government to bring the bodies of residents of Bihar.
Bihar CM then announced the payment of EX Gratia each of the RS 2 Lakh each of the CM relief funds to Kin next of all 10 people killed in heavy rain.
Nitish was talking to the media after producing a flag of Prachar Raths (Propaganda Chariots) from ‘Rabi Maha-Abhiyan (2021-22) in front of the CM Secretariat here.
For a question, Nitish refused to make a comment directly about the recent split in the Opposition alliance said, “We were not interested in this problem.” When a clerk asked about the arrival of the RJD boss and Prasad in Bihar in the middle of an ongoing campaign for assembly by the poll, CM said such questions should not be asked at this event (government).
Deputy Bihar CM Renu Devi, who came from the West Chamaran District, in a statement, praised the efforts of the State Resident Commissioner of Palka Sahni, West Champaran DM Kundan Kumar and officials of the disaster management department in making Bihar arrangements needed by residents from Uttarakhand.
