Mumbai: Nearly eight to ten health workers from Sevenhills Hospital in Andheri had been infected with bloody fever last month.
The hospital authority confirms that at least three undergoing current treatment but rejected there is an outbreak.
Sevenhills is ‘Covid Hospital dedicated’ and continues to recognize more than 50 patients every day.
The source said that as many as 5-6 cases were reported from a nurse apartment about three weeks ago.
Dr.
Balkrishna Adsul, Dean Sevenhills, said that no one has a serious illness and all can be diagnosed and treated on time.
“Some of them have recovered and continued work,” he said.
Of the three acknowledged at this time, two allegedly and one was the case of the confirmed dengue fever.
Rajan Naringrekar, Chief Insecticide Officer, said they had received a telephone call from the hospital two weeks ago to fumigate and detect mosquito breeding sites.
“We have taken the steps needed.
We will do an inspection again,” he said.
Mumbai usually witnessed the increase in dengue fever infection in August and September.
Naringrekar said that there was a special team for sevenhills which constantly fumigated the place and checked breeding spots because Covid patients were accepted there.
