Chennai: Continuing the trend of decline, Tamil Nadu recorded 1,259 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday with 10 districts that entered less than 10 infections.
This new case encourages the overall calculation in the state to 26.83 lakh while 20 people surrendered to the virus, put the victim to 35,853, said a medical bulletin.
The state has recorded 1,280 cases on Wednesday.
Recovery restored a new infection with 1,438 people out in the last 24 hours, collecting up to 26,32,092 left 15,451 active infections.
As many as 1,37,423 samples were tested, taking the cumulative amount of specimens examined to 4.90 crores until the date.
Chennai and Coimbatore recorded a large portion of infections by adding 163 and 143 cases each, while the rest spread in other districts.
Ten districts reported new cases under two digits, while no new death in 25 districts.
Among the 20 fatalities, two people were victims of transmission without the existing disease or comorbidity, said the bulletin.
