Patna: At least ten people were arrested from Gangti Village in Nawada District until Thursday night after they were suspected of being young people because they tried to steal batteries from tractors in the village.
The police said that the young man who was killed was identified as Mohammad Anjan Imran, around 25 years old.
He is a native resident of Sudanpur Village which is almost not two kilometers from Gangti Village.
The two villages were under the area of ​​the Pakribarawan police station in Nawada.
The incident occurred between 1am until 2am on Thursday.
The police released the defendant from the grip of the villagers and rushed to a government hospital in Pakribarawan where he died during treatment in several hours.
Pakriboarding SDO Mukesh Kumar said that attacks will capture more people involved in Lynching.
“All ten people arrested until now are men.
The villagers also tied their limbs while struggling,” SDO said.
Police Office Pakribarak Sho Nagmani Bhaskar said that until now it has emerged that the young man who was killed had gone to the neighboring village of Gangti with the theft intentions.
“While he stole a battery from the tractor, the villagers were wake up and raised the alarm after he was arrested and struggling mercilessly,” he said.
Sho said that until now the police had learned that he had reached alone in place and could not escape after the villagers woke up and surrounded him.
“The police were told after a team reached the place and released young people.
He rushed to the hospital where he died in medicine,” he said.
He said that the body had been handed over to the family after post-mortem and the raids occurred in the more suspected NAB in the villagers.
He said that until now no criminal anteceden from the young man who was killed had appeared in front of the police.
“The Anjan family has denied his involvement in any theft.
They accused the financial dispute in which he was killed,” he said, adding further investigation into Lynching.
