Guwahati: Head of Minister of Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma on Saturday recommended the Assam Power Distribution Limited (APDCL) board to cancel the 2019 recruitment check and retest.
The direction happened after the ministerial weaving cell arrested 10 people on Friday in connection with the suspected APDCL recruitment fraud.
Sarma said they were arrested including Dipankar Dihingia, officers about special tasks (OSD) to the Chairman of the APDCL, and two Universitas Gahati officials.
Investigations are above and more places will be raided to catch those involved, he said.
“The APDCL test candidate in a constant touch on the telephone with the defendant who was arrested.
The team of vigilance captured paper questions and the answer key from the accused residence.
We have provided an Anwer sheet to Gautati University for supervision, but the agency (for verification) is used by APDCL and Universitas Gautati is the same.
Agents must be different when cross verification.

CM Special CM SP Rosie Kalita said, “On September 15, we received information from the Secretariat of the Ministers of the Ministers that a informant knew about irregularities involving the APDCL recruitment exam.

The other captured includes Neicom employees, an IT company that provides outsourcing business services and is involved in the APDCL recruitment examination process.
Scam’s allegations relating to the recruitment exam held on February 17 and April 28, 2019 for office-cum-field assistant posts, Sahayak and the driver of the APDCL light vehicle.
A racket was allegedly involved in demanding bribes from Rs 2 Lakh to RS 3 Lakh from the candidate to clear the written examination.
“With the next six months, we must put the recruitment process to smoothly carry out a recruitment test for one work lakh,” CM said.
