Thane: A 10-year-old boy died after he accidentally fell into an open tank of 35 feet in the Maharashtra area of Maharashtra on Tuesday night, officials inform after the initial investigation.

Vinay Rathod, Deputy Commissioner of Police Thane, said the incident occurred around 6pm when underage children played with his friends at a quiet construction site near his residence in the nalpada area along Jalan Ghodbunder when he accidentally sneaked into the tank .
Initial investigations reveal children who often play in the area and realize the tank of water.
People who passed the alarm, followed which civil officials reached the place and began rescue operations.
“A civilian diver entered the waters and managed to bring up the boy who lost consciousness.
He was hospitalized where he was declared dead on arrival.
