Tirupur: An event to mark the Centenary of Mahatma Gandhi released modern clothes to wear Dhoti Forever held by Cotton Ramraj in Tirupur.
At least 100 weavers and because of many respected freedom fighters during the event titled ‘Dhoti 100’.
As many as 100 tillers were also planted on that occasion.
Then, dancers from the Kalashetra Foundation in Chennai did dance drama in ‘Gandhiya Vazhiyil Ramraj’.
The event was inaugurated by K R Nagarajan, Managing Director of Cotton Ramraj.
B K Krishnaraj Vanaavaaryar, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore, released a book titled ‘Mahatmaavai Kondaduvom’ on the occasion by submitting the first copy to Kamasamy, a group of companies.
