New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi RS 100 Lakh Crore Gati Shakti Master – which will offer multi-capital connectivity to more than 1,200 industrial clusters, including two defense corridors throughout the country – will be launched next month as part of the plan to reduce logistics costs and provide Better connectivity.
The source said this cluster included a food, electronic and medical processing park, pharmaceutical and medical devices, arrest and port clusters, in addition to Mega Textile Park.
“National Master Plan PM Gati Shakti for multi-capital infrastructure connectivity with the economic zone” with the Tag line ‘Gati Se Shakti’ will include projects under the existing schemes of various ministries such as Bharatmala, Sagarmala, sagaraan, expansion of railroad networks , inland waterways and bharat net.
High supply chains and logistics costs make Indian products less competitive in the global market.
Current supply chain and logistics costs in India contribute to around 14% of GDP countries compared to the global average of around 8%.
Modi on August 15 has announced that the total size of the Gati Shakti project will become the RS 100 Lakh Crore to develop holistic infrastructure.
The purpose of this project will increase efficiency by optimizing the necessary infrastructure, which will help reduce logistics costs.
While the project will be pioneered by the logistics division in the Ministry of Commerce, there will be a group of empowered secretaries led by the Cabinet Secretary to see the implementation of this main initiative.
