Patna: The country on Thursday touched a 100% sign as far as providing the first dose of the Covid vaccine to the beneficiaries above the 18-year concerned.
So far, 5.96 crore people in this age group have received at least the first dose of the Covid vaccine in the state.
Also, more than 90% of people who qualified above 18 have been fully vaccinated in the state.
According to data available with data from the state government, there were 5.95 crores over the age of 18 in Bihar.
However, according to the health department data, 5.96 crore people have been given the first dose, a little more than the target.
The health community of the Executive Director of Executive Animesh Kumar Parasar said that a little increase was because of the additional population added in this group in the new year.
“Until the previous year, we had a targeted 5.95 crore population.
However, those 17 years old are now eligible in this category,” Parasar said, adding a country to almost touch the ceiling to vaccinate the adult population with the first dose.
Indicates that there might be flexibility in the data, Parasar said tourist attractions such as Goa and Duan and Diu have vaccinated more than 100% of the targeted population because migrants and tourists are also affixed to these places.
He added that Bihar can add more in this category when migrants also return to the state of different places and vaccinated.
So far, 4.53 crore people have been fully vaccinated in the state.
However, as far as it concerns feasibility, a little more than 90% has been given a second dose after the completion of the time interval as in the case of covishield, the second dose was given after the first 84 days of the dose.
On the other hand, 8.10 Lakh beneficiaries qualified in Bihar for the dose of preventive measures until Thursday.
From them, 2.90 lakh was vaccinated until Thursday morning and they contributed 36% of the total target.
Meanwhile, 31.78 Lakh beneficiaries in the 15-18-year-old group have so far been given the first dose of Covid vaccines in the country to a total population of 83.46 lakh in this age group.
