100 Years of Family Split & The Cairana Clash

Written by news2in

Meerut: Once upon a time, as they say in Cairana, two main political clans, Hasan and Singh, belonging to one family under one Khap.
It was around 120 years ago.
One of the ancestors then turned towards Islam and competition began.
This continues to this day.
When BJP released his first list for polls with the name 107 candidates, it chose Mriganka Singh, the daughter of the late MP of the law of Singh, as a candidate from Kairana.
In the SP list of the same constituency is Nahid Hasan, MLA sitting.
During a century ago, Singh and Hasans United, part of a family led by Baba Kalsa.
According to Suhaib Ansari from Cairana, “until a few years ago, the law of Singh was considered the leader of the Hindu group, while Munawwar Hasan, father of Nahid, led the Muslim wing.” Since the early 1990s, Cairana has sent representatives from these two families to the State Assembly and Lok Sabha.
Now old political competition between the two families has moved to the next generation.
Putra Munawwar Hasan Nahid defeated the legal daughter of Singh Mriganka in the 2017 State poll.
Then, Tabassum Hasan, Widow Munawwar Hasan, won over Mriganka in Lok Sabha 2018 poll When he headed to the court session in Cairana to “surrender” in a delayed case from February 2021.
