Bhubaneswar: Komisionce Police on Sunday involved 100 different slums as a volunteer “Polle Mitra” (police friend) to help administration maintain slums free of crime and drug smuggling.
The young men were chosen from the slums under the limit of Saheed Nagar, Mancheswar and Nayapalli.
In the Induction Ceremony, Commissioner of Police (CP) Saumendra Priyadarshi and Deputy Commissioner of the Police (DCP) of Uma Shankar Dash directed Mitras Police about their responsibilities.
Each Mitras police have been given uniforms and identity cards.
“Our goal is to make our slum scabies freely and prevent drug abuse in those places.
The launch of Partner Police’s initiatives is a step forward in serving this purpose.
Mitras Police can share important information with us and help us maintain peace.
In the slums,” Priyadarshi said.
