Mumbai: Since locking related to the pandemic from March 2020, Cyber Maharashtra police have registered 1,121 cases of fake news, rumors, and hatred speeches posted and distributed on social media in the state.
In the past six days, there has been an increase in reciprocating hatred and communal speeches on social media; 466 of 1,121 cases are registered in the last six days.
367 arrests have been made until now.
Of the 1,121 cases, 1,055 are registered as violations that are nervous and 66 as unlike.
