10,000 kg of Saanjh Kendras letters discarded

Ludhiana: In a unique initiative, Ludhiana police have thrown more than 10,000 kg of Saanjh Kendras letters in an ecofriendly way in a factory here.
The step will not only make the office free of chaos, but also helps preserve trees because these papers will be recycled.
Saanjh Kendra Nodal Officer Pragya Jain said, “During my visit to Saanjh Kendras, I noticed the paper accumulates.
Because the focus is to digitize, the work record conducted in Saanjh Kendras is maintained on the computer too.
Therefore, I think of making offices free chaos.
“” We approached a paper factory in the city to throw newspapers.
The Saanjh Kendras staff worked for two days and made a paper bundle.
They were loaded on a truck and sent to the factory.
Long records until 2016-2017 have been destroyed.
The total paper weight is 10.510kg .
We also managed to generate revenue of Rs 1,47,140 that will go to Treasury, “he added.
The official said, “These papers will be recycled and this will help save trees and the environment.” Additional Director General of Police (Community) Gurpeeet Kaur Deo shared a video about it in his official Twitter handle, appreciating the officer.
Deo wrote, “Making a free chaos office is also an important task, often ignored.
Young IPS officers Pragya Jain ADCP initiatives are commendable and worthy of being replicated by others …
