Silchar: Minister of Water Resources and Information and Public Relations Pijush Hazarika announced on Wednesday that the RS 100 Crore will be provided in the next four years for the reconstruction and improvement of the Dyke River on the constituency of the Lakhipur Assembly who is prone to flooding in the Cachar District.

He said Crore RS 20-25 will be allocated every year to control the floods in Lakhipur for the next four years.
The minister further stated that in the current financial year Rs 1,500 Crore will be spent on flood assistance in 70 assembly constituents in this country.
Yazarika said the rice procurement system, which was produced by farmers, at higher prices through the FCI, would improve the financial condition of farmers.
