Trichy: Because Mettur Dam in Salem Regency approached the full capacity of 120 feet, Trichy District Administration has decided to release water to the Kollidam River, a major aircraft carrier for the Delta Cazevery district.
From Monday night, around 10,000 cusec water will be released into the kollolam on a series of mukkombu.
District administration has been honed by people living in lowland areas near the river bank.
When inflow will increase from 6pm on Monday, Sivarasu District collector asked people to take a bath, swim, and wash clothes both at Kollidam and Cauvery.
People are asked to call Helpline 1077 in an emergency.
Residents can also provide complaints to 93840-56213 for solutions.
