Lucknow: In a one-day surge in the highest this season, 11 confirmed and 15 cases of alleged dengue fever were reported in the city on Tuesday.
With these cases, the calculation of confirmed dengue cases in the district has reached 193 years.
Of these, 120 (62%) has been reported in September only.
The amount does not include alleged cases, many of which are reported in private hospitals.
The surge witnessed in the last three days has come after heavy rain Thursday which leaves many areas that are very flooded.
The accumulation of water has not been cleaned in many regions and has turned into a safe place for mosquitoes.
The health authority is worried that if the act of immediately not taken by civilian institutions, the case of mosquito-borne diseases may rise further.
New cases were confirmed through the Elisa test at Balrampur Hospital.
The patients came from Balaganj, Trivenceinagar, Takrohi, Khadara, Para, Aashiana and Rural.
Two patients were accepted because of the low number of platelets, but stable.
Other patients including a seven-year-old child and three teenagers were given drugs and recovered at home, said a senior official at the hospital.
In addition, 15 suspected 11 cases at Lokbandhu Hospital and four in civil-tested SPM positive for Dengue through ‘card tests’.
Their sample has been sent for the confirmation test.
Two patients at the Lokebarhu Hospital were serious, while others were sent home with drugs.
Aedes larvae found at 29 houses: The Ministry of Health Team found the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito larvae, the carrier of the dengue virus, at 29 houses on its sustainable journey in Faizullagej, Alamnagar, Daliiganj, Niralanagar and Aliganj.
In most places, larvae are found in flower pots, objects broken on the roof and in the cooler.
