Chennai: Integral coach factory (ICF) has closed the investigation of alertness and released 11 officials including former General Manager Sudhanshu Mani in a case related to the procurement of three-phase propulsion equipment for train-18, the train set produced by the original India.
This letter for effects was issued on July 28 by R P Joshi, Director of the Joint of Warvilance on the Railroad Council.
Another case related to the procurement of mechanical items for trains with one tender is also closed in January, documents available with TOI performances.
“There is no procedural violation found in any part of any officer,” said the document.
These cases began about two years ago and had brought the Railway-18 project to the grinding termination.
The cost of ICF officials supports Hyderabad-based companies that supply a propulsion system in the first two sets of trains.
Then two tenders were canceled.
Finally, now the same company has won a contract for the upcoming train set.
Officials who have been released include Shubhranshu, then head of the main Mechanical Engineer of ICF and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in the Rail wheel factory, Bela, DP Dash and SP Vavre, former chairman of the design engineer (electricity) in ICF, KS ASLA and Usha Venugopalan , Head of ICF and former Finance, Amitabh Singhal, former Deputy Head of Electrical Engineer in the ICF, NK Gupta Former Electrical Engineer Chairperson at ICF and V Vishwanath Reddy, OP Khare and K Venugopal Rao, former former and current material manager at the ICF.
Sudhanshu Mani, who retired in 2019 told Ti that he was relieved, but was not surprised, because he knew there were no mistakes.
“But I have suffered while the process of vigilance happens,” he said.
However, Indian trains must try to reverse the losses suffered by several officials who are still in service.
“They must be compensated in a certain way,” said Mani.
Other train officials, who lost to several important positions on the train board because these vigilance cases said about three years his life was damaged because of this.
As far as regarding the railroad project, three years have been lost in the Pathbreaking project, the two officials said.
“This is similar to the case of Nambi Narayanan, where Indian space programs returned in several years due to false accusations,” officials who did not want to be identified, said.
Mani said the new minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had given a clear direction to bring the project back to its track.
