Thane: more than a month after a 19-year-old man from Bhadohi at Uttar Pradesh was found dead on the railroad near Mumbai, police in the Thane District had arrested eleven people including the relatives of the girl he had gone.
Previously, the police said that the victims of the Hashmi Sahil jumped out of the train running between Copar and Diva in the Thane District when the sister followed the couple.
However, the probe revealed that the sister and several others had pushed it from the train, an official said.
The defendant was taken to Maharashtra from above and produced before the judge who sent it in police custody for four days on Monday, said Senior Inspector of Satish Dombival Railway Police.
Also, Juvenile has also been detained, he added.
Those who were arrested were the father of 16-year-old girl Shabbir Hashmi and his brother, and the criminal murder and conspiracy case had been registered, said pawar.
On June 19, 2021, a man who was seriously injured was found in a trail between Copar and Diva.
He was identified as a Hashmi Sahil, a resident of Durgaganj, Bhadohi.
He died at Sion Hospital in Mumbai on June 23 without trusting consciousness.
The train police found that he had fled with a girl from his village on June 15, and his family members, who opposed their relationship, had registered the kidnapping case against him and also told his brother in Mumbai that the couple was in their way to Maharashtra.
The brothers originally told the police that he found them on the train to Ratnagiri.
When the Sahil saw him in the compartment, he jumped out of the door because of fear, the brother told the police.
But it was revealed later that the sister and several others fought with Sahil near the toilet and the former pushed him out of the train, towards his death, said the school inspector.
Further probe is active.
