Panaji: About 11% of teaching lectures and non-teaching staff still have not taken a single dose of vaccination.
The state government is considering starting physical classes for students as soon as the normal pandemic situation and therefore all college staff must complete at least one dose on 31 July 2021, Director of Higher Education Prasad Lolayekar said on Saturday.
Circular universities to caves and colleges also stated that those who were not vaccinated would be asked to produce RT-PCR negative reports on a weekly starting from August 2 and no refuge requests to be entertained to complete the test.
“The state government plans to start the class in physical mode after the current pandemic situation is normal.
According to the input collected from college and the past a week about Covid vaccination, it is known that around 11% of teachers and staff have not taken even the first dose of vaccination , “Lolayark’s Circular State.
He said that the Directorate hopes to achieve 100% vaccination of all teaching and non-teaching staff before the class begins in physical mode to ensure the security of all those who are considered, especially students.
“Staff who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons will produce certificates for this effect from the medical council suffered by Goa Medical College,” Lolayekar said.
Other staff who are not vaccinated for other reasons must submit a RT-PCR report every week to attend the task, with the effect of August 2.
“Expenditures on the RT-PCR test will not be replaced by the government and there is no task.
Leave will be accepted to take the RT test -PCR.
Teaching and non-teaching staff members must also ensure that their family members are fully vaccinated, “said Lolayekar.
Lolayark has requested registrants and principals of Goa University and Principal and assisted to submit a status report on vaccination of their staff on August 4.
