Ghaziabad: A gang which supposedly purchased toddlers from poor parents sold the babies to childless couples has been broken up in Ghaziabad, together with the arrest of 11 individuals. Police started investigating after a complaint was lodged at Loni on May 12 with a few that asserted their 15-day-old kid was abducted in their home by a guy and a woman that had seen them on the pretext of leasing a flat. “The complaint was surrounded by Fatima and Fariyad, residents of Dabur Talab region. Five of these 11 detained in the event are neighborhood resident Wahid, Delhi-based few Asmit Kaur along with Gurmeet, along with Lucknow resident Alok Agnihotri. Three accused in the event are all on the run. Authorities have recognized Asmit and Gurmeet since the kingpins of this racket they conducted through Wahid, whose chief job was to identify vulnerable and poor spouses and persuade them to get a baby and then sell them off. “Asmit and Gurmeet attracted prospective clients through their site, Sulekha. They had to bill around Rs 5.5 lakh from couples to get a toddler,” said Kumar. In the event of both Fatima and Fariyad, Wahid had struck a new deal with the few and provided them Rs two lakh to their infant. “However Wahid, together with a different girl, seen the couple’s home on May 12 and shot the baby away whenever they were occupied with family chores, even without paying them a cent. The infant was taken directly to Asmit and Gurmeet from Delhi, in where the accused bunch boarded a trip to Lucknow and sent the infant to Alok Agnihotri for Rs 5.5 lakh,” the group officer stated.
