Soapur: Legislator and Farmer Legislator & Legislator (PWP) India (PWP) India (PWP) Ganpatrao Annamaheb Deshmukh, who died on Friday, was cremated with full respect for the country in Sangola on Saturday, official sources said.
Deshmukh, 95, inhaled the last in a private hospital after a brief illness, his family said.
When mortal remains were taken from Solala to Sangola this morning, thousands of people including farmers and workers with moist eyes marched on the road, bidding their last Adieu, many who raised the song ‘Ganpatrao Deshmukh, Amar Rahe’.
In Sangola, where his body was wrapped in the national tricolor stored, thousands of people appeared to pay their last respect, a lot of bent with his hands folded and captured his last glimpse.
Deshmukh, symbol of humility and simplicity, has been chosen to the Maharashtra legislature from Sangola’s chair which surprisingly 11 times since 1962, as a PWP candidate, without defects on the other party.
He also lost the election twice in the long political career of seven decades – first in 1972 and then in 1995 – the second time was defeated by his own grandson but with a thin margin around 190 votes.
However, he comfortably sailed through what was called ‘BJP-Wave’ in 2014 which washed away the 15-year-old Congress-NCP government in the state.
Deshmukh served as minister for a while in 1978 when Sharad Pawar was the main minister and then full position in 1999 in the CM vilasrao deshmukh government.
In 2012, Maharashtra’s legislature congratulated him warmly to complete the gold jubilee (50 years) as MLA.
In 2019, Ganpatrao Deshmukh surprised the political circle by deciding to retire from active politics and elections, especially for old age reasons.
That year (2019), the prestigious Sangola chair was covered by Shiv Sena Shahajibapu R.
Patil – who did not succeed in opposing Deshmukh six times in the past – printing reserves of Deshmukh and PWP candidates Aniket Deshmukh by around 750 votes.
Until now, he remained a legislator who served second second in India after the record of the deceased Tamil Nadu CM and DMK Supremo, M.
Strain.
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Minister of Chief Ajit Pawar, and opposition leaders Devendra Fadnivis and Pravin Darekar spend the death of Deshmukh.
Other top leaders such as PWP President Jayant Patil, Minister of Shiv Sena Eknath Shinde, NCP President Sharad Pawar, NCP President Patil Jayant, Minister of Walse-Patil Dilip, Nawab Malik, Dr.
Jitendra Awhad, Congress of President Nana Patole, Minister of Balasaheb, Ashok Chavan , Former CM Prithviraj Chavan, Samajwadi Party President Abu Asim Azmi, leading farmer groups and worker organizations have expressed sadness over through veteran leaders.
Even the social media pay spelling glowing to Deshmukh and many anecdotes that tell their simplicity in public life, their commitment to one party and ideology throughout his life compared to the ‘reading’ in the past few years.
