Ghaziabad: The couple and one of their grandchildren died when a truck who delivered a gas cylinder crashed into their bicycle from behind at the main gate of Koyal Enclave at Loni-Bhopura Road on Tuesday.
Their grandchildren riding a pillion sustain injury in the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Sabbir (45), his wife Sanjida (42), and Muskan (11).
Assifa (7), another grandson, is currently undergoing hospital treatment.
Alok Dubey, Circle Officer, Sahibabad, said the accident occurred at around 10:45 a.m., when Sabbir would go to Loni, along with his wife, with a bicycle to drop their grandson’s house at Garima Garden.
“The four went to Garima Garden to attend a birthday party,” he said.
An eyewitness said that when the victims reached the main gate of Englave Goyal, a truck that quickly hit a bicycle from behind after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
All fell and suffered serious head injuries.
“Immediately, local residents and people who passed the police and the team immediately reached the place.
The police flowed the victim to the nearest hospital.
Muskan and Sabbir immediately died during treatment, while Sanjida surrendered to his injury later on.

The police have arrested the truck driver, identified as drawn Sharma, a resident of Bulandshahr.
The police also won the truck.
