Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 11,079 positive cases of 89,995 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases detected, 9,327 people have taken vaccinations, and 2,802 people don’t even take a single dose.
However, 3,462 which was tested positively on the day had taken both doses.
The current total active case is 97,630, where 10.4% of people are received in hospitals or other care centers.
Meanwhile, 123 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, took the death toll in the country to 26,571.
At the same time, 9,472 patients have recovered from this disease.
Among new cases, 10,608 cases have been infected through local transmission.
Infectious contact sources cannot be traced to 360.
There are 58 health professionals among those infected, and 53 people have arrived from outside the country.
Ernakulam reported the highest number of cases with 1,794, followed by Kozhikode (1,155), Thiruvananthapuram (1,125), Thrissur (1,111), Kolllayam (925), Kollam (729), Idukki (699), Kannur (554)), Pathanamthitta (547) , Palackad (530), Alappuzha (506), Wayanad (387) and Kasaragod (250).
Patients who tested negative were Thiruvananthapuram (1,058), Kollam (580), Pathanamthitta (520), Alappuzha (514), Kottayam (781), Idukki (648), Ernakulam (978), Palakkad (958), Palakkad (958), Malappuram (948), Kozhikode (601), Wayanad (461), Kannur (370) and Kasaragod (181).
There are a total of 3,39,688 people currently observing in various countries, where 3,28,426 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers, and 11,262 in isolation in hospitals.
