Letter: In one of the largest marijuana transported in this region, a special operating group (SOG) of the Rural Police letter on Friday won 1,142 kg of marijuana worth RS 1.14 Crore from an apartment in Sanki Village.
The contract was taken from Odisha via road and intended for distribution in the city and other parts of South Gujarat, police said.
Because in large quantities, the drug is stored outside the city and is transported into small towns through scooters.
“This is the biggest seizure in the past and we work to arrest those who provide it,” said Usha Rada Desai, police supervisor, letter.
The police arrested Bikas Buli Gauda, 19, a resident of the Katargam region in the city and indigenous Chatula in the odisha district of Odisha.
Gauda will maintain stock and work for two other accused, Babu Nahak and Vikram Maglu Parida, both Utkal Nagar in Katargam.
Nahak and Parida have not been arrested.

“Cannabis was brought to this location about four days ago.
But it is unclear who their regular buyers.
The defendant used to supply small amounts of drugs from this place,” police said.
“We have seized the moped they use to send drugs and are also used to maintain a watch in the area,” said KJ Dhaduk, Police Inspector, Sogy, added that this was the biggest Haul police who managed to win so far the region.
Previously in November 2019, around 967 kg of marijuana worth RS 96 Lakh was confiscated from sugar cane fields near Kathodara Village within the boundaries of the Kamrej police station.
In February 2020, around 750 kg of marijuana worth Rs 75 lakh was confiscated from the village of Kudsad within the limits of the Kim Police Station.
The price of marijuana has been calculated based on the circular CID crime which remains per kg of marijuana prices at Rs 10,000.
In August 2019, 331 kg of marijuana was arrested from GIDC’s pipelodara from the district of the letter by the AHMedabad crime branch and the value per kg was calculated at Rs 30,000.
Circular was released after the seizure.
