Thiruvananthapuram: The country reported 7,798 new Covid-19 cases from 85,307 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
As many as 100 Covid-19 deaths have been confirmed, taking the dead to 14,687.
At the same time, 11,447 patients have recovered from disease, and at present, 1,11,093 people are in the state of care.
TPR is 9.14%.
Among new cases, 7,202 have been infected through local transmission.
Contact sources of infection cannot be traced for 530.
There are 34 health care professionals among those infected and 32 people have arrived from outside the country.
Among all districts, Thrissur has reported the highest number of cases (1,092), followed by Kozhikode (780), Kollam (774), Malappuram (722), Thiruvananthapuram (676), Palakkad (602), Ernakulam (602), Ernakulam (582 ), Kasaragod (553), Kannur (522), Kottayam (363), Pathanamthitta (202), Wayanad (137) and Idukki (129).
So far, 29,46,870 people have recovered in the state, even as 1,11,093 patients are still undergoing treatment.
As many as 2,45.09,870 samples have been sent for testing until now.
There are 3,81,673 people currently observing in various countries, where 3,56,888 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers, and 24,785 in isolation in hospitals.
There are 86 local bodies that have a TPR of less than 5%, 382 local bodies between 5% and 10%, 370 LSG between 10% and 15%, and 196 LSG with TPR above 15%.
