Chandigarh: The Minister of Higher Education Punjab Pargate Singh on Tuesday said his department would immediately fill 1,158 empty posts including teaching cadres in the state.
He said the recruitment process of 1,091 posts taught cadres and 67 librarian posts in government universities will be completed within 45 days.
Recruitment will be carried out by Punjabi University, Patiala and Teacher Nandak Dev University, Amritsar by forming a Selection Committee.
Recruitment according to the UGC guidelines will be carried out only based on written tests, Singh said in the official release.

The selection committee will be formed under the leadership of the Chancellor concerned deputy.
