Mumbai: Twelve activists from Aam Aadmi’s party were arrested on Tuesday while they protested called ‘Mooshak Yatra’ in Dahisar East.
“AAP Mooshak Yatra is a five-day campaign in Mumbai with the aide of Lord Ganpati, Mooshak, to understand the struggle of Milmaikars together and failure Shiv Sena, and to pray for a better city and a better government,” said the party statement.
The police said the party workers were detained around 4:30 p.m.
in Dahecar Check-Naka and were taken to the police station where they were ordered under the relevant provisions of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
They were produced before the local court and then released with a guarantee.
“The among what was held was the leaders of AAP Mumbai Gopal Jhaveri, Sumitra Shrivastav and Kunal Pawar,” said the party statement.
