12 August this fashion designer holds an open chat with women on menstrual hygiene

Prasagraj: Delhi’s leading fashion designer, Priyal Bhardwaj, has taken the Crusade to create awareness among rural women about hygiene and menstrual health and hold open talks in remote villages in the Pratapgarh district.
Priyal, who also runs an organization called Sangini Saheli, wants to remove misunderstandings between women regarding menstruation health and cleanliness and work tirelessly to bring change in women’s lives throughout the country.
Holding open talks with women and girls in the village of Bawali in the Pratapgarh district on Tuesday, he encouraged women to carry out open talks about menstruation cleanliness.
He said that it was worried that people in rural areas were still not open to studying or spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene openly even in the 21st century and that women had to suffer because of that.
He said, “There is a strong need to chat openly about this problem and understand the pain and feelings of women in this matter.” The designer added that a woman cared for two families including her parents’ homes and husband’s houses after marriage but that didn’t mean that she had to ignore her health and needs.
“Every woman has the right to know about women’s sanitary napkins,” he said.
Priyal, meanwhile, said that more can be done to create mass awareness around menstruation so women and girls have access to products that are safe with dignity.
While working for migrants during the covid pandemic, Priyal realizes that regardless of food distribution, there is a need for other important important things that are ignored throughout the city which is a menstrual hygiene product among women.
He began visiting public places such as the bus stand, the Railway Station and distributed sanitation sanitary napkins, realized that many women also traveled back to their hometown after last year’s kuncian.
Until now, the organization has distributed more than five lakh sanitation pads among women in this country.
Priyal said, “Sanitation pads are as important as other daily items for a healthy and guaranteed life of a menstruator.” In rural areas, there are countless women in all countries that still cannot manage their menstruation safely because of the lack of proper bearings and the right knowledge.
“We noticed that around 25% of the women we reached, they did not have knowledge of sanitation sanitary napkins or it was still a silent topic for them,” said Piyal.
“We continue to squeeze and make them aware during open talks along with the distribution of sanitation bearings, “He added.
