Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 12 new cases of Omicron variant which highly translined from Covid-19 on Monday, taking the total state counting to 55.
Among the 12 new cases, 10 were passengers who returned from non-risk countries for the past three days, While two are contacts from existing omicron patients.
Until now, only five omicron cases came from ‘At Risk’.
Overall, 24 samples from RGIA were sent for genome sequencing and officials said they were waiting for 19 previous samples.
