NEW DELHI: Almost 12 crore dosages of Covid-19 vaccine will likely soon be available in June, the health ministry said Sunday.
In May, 7,94 crore doses have been available for hepatitis.
In an announcement, the ministry explained that the feasibility of supplies to countries and Union Territories is determined on the intake pattern, people and vaccine residues.

The ministry explained the shipping program with this allocation is going to be shared with countries ahead of time.
“States are asked to direct the officers concerned to guarantee honest and judicious utilisation of doses that are allocated and also minimise the vaccine residues.
The fundamental objective behind notifying the states/UTs in progress of this quantum of free vaccine dosages to be made accessible from Centre for 15/30 times and the complete vaccine doses that are offered for immediate procurement by states/UTs will be to ensure better preparation and delivery of vaccine by states/UTs,” it stated.
For May, 4,03,49,830 vaccine dosages are made available from the Union government to the conditions.
Furthermore, 3,90,55,370 doses have been readily available for immediate procurement from the countries in addition to private associations in May.
“Thus in May 2021, a full of 7,94,05,200 doses had been offered for the nationwide vaccination programme,” the ministry stated.
