Vadodara: Traffic suddenly stopped near Kala Ghoda Circle on Monday morning because many people passed – gathered on the bridge above the Wiswamitri River.
They watched with curiosity as large crocodiles were pulled out of the waters by firefighters.
12 feet of reptiles were dead but firefighters found it difficult to fish because it was very heavy.
This is the second crocodile found dead on the Vishwamitri River in the last three days.
On Saturday, a 12-foot crocodile was also found dead in stretching under the Akota-Dandia Bazaar bridge.
“The post-mortem report they revealed that both crocodiles were old and died of natural causes,” said Nidhi Dave, Range Forest Officer (RFO), Vadodara.
Whether adding that the reptile found dead on Monday was between 12 and 15 years.
Age and weigh around 300 kilograms.
“It is possible that reptiles might die because of a territorial battle too.
We have not found a sign of a visible injury.
However, the investigation, has begun,” Dave told Toi.
The river that passes through the heart of the city is home to around 275 crocodiles, many of which are found in the word Sawajigunj and dense fatehgunjula.
