Mexico City: Twelve people died when their van was reversed and reversed the ditch on the highway in Central Mexico, leaving 11 other people injured, officials said on Saturday.
Seven of the victims who died were still trapped in the car, the emergency service agency from Jalisco State said on Twitter.
The accident occurred near the city of Lagos de Moreno, on the highway that connects the middle countries of Guanajuato and Jalisco.
Photos of the emergency service agency showed a large black van dropped to his side on a deep route along the highway, with what looked like a broken windshield.
