New Delhi: Around 12 states and the United States have implemented a 10 percent of the reservation for a more economically weaker part, while there is no information about the implementation of EWS reservations in the state or UTS remaining, the government said on Tuesday.
According to information available, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Telengana have implemented a reservation of 10 percent to EWS, the Minister of State for Justice and Pratima Social Empowerment Bhoonik said In a written reply at Lok Sabha.
He said the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) monitors progress in filling backlog vacancies provided for SCS, STS and OBC with 10 ministries or departments have more than 90 percent of the central government employees.
According to the data provided by it, 14,366 of the 28.345 vaccines reserved for SC remained temporarily not filled with 12,612 from 22,016 vacancies for STS still not filled.
Around 15,088 from 28,562 vacancies for OBC remain unfined.
